According to statistics, in2011, there are252.78million migrant workers in country. Migrant workers, considered as an important part of the workers of our coun have become the subject of labor relations in China who have made outstanding contributions to Chinese economic and social development. Besides that, migrant workers have encountered lots of labor problems, the issue of which is also highlighted by the performance of labor relations issues. In particular, there has emerged the differentiation, intergenerational differences between the new generation of migrant workers and traditional migrant workers within the migrant workers, in recent years, which brings many new problems in the field of labor relations. Whether the issue of migrant workers can be solved, not only cares the interests of migrant workers, but also relates with the construction of harmonious labor relations as well as the improvement of the socialist economic system. Therefore, conducting from the perspective of farmers as the workers, this study, mainly talking about labor relations, has important theoretical and practical significance. This article, based on Marxist theory of labor relations and Western labor theory, combines China’s national conditions with some scientific research methods, in order to investigate the particularity of migrant workers and migrant workers intergenerational differences on labor relations, beginning by the special nature of the migrant workers and intergenerational differences. Then, some targeted solutions have been supplied, which are used to cope with those current representational issues emerging in the field of labor relations.As a laborer, migrant workers have some characteristics that is different from th general laborers, they can be replaced easily in the labor market, the employment form is irregular, their survival pattern have the dual characteristic of "urban and rural", and their labor value and consumption structure also has a certain particularity. The influences of the particularity of the migrant workers on the labor relations are mainly as follows:(1) the existence of migrant workers objectively increased competitive pressure of the urban industrial workers;(2) migrant workers can be easily alternated, which have weaken their power in bargaining with the employers;(3) the income contrast between workers and peasants, as well as the duality of income source have raised migrant workers’ tolerance to the low wages and poor working conditions;(4)factors like low-quality, low degree of organization, smallholder thought, and the duality of survival form etc. have reduced the migrant workers’ ability and willingness of defending their rights and interests through the formal institution and the collective action.In recent years, migrant workers within the group also had a differentiation. The new generation of migrant workers have become the main force of migrant workers groups, and reflects the different characteristics of migrant workers. Compared with the traditional migrant workers, the new generation of migrant workers have a relatively high degree of education and professional skills. Their consciousness of protecting their rights is stronger, and the labor contract signing rate is higher, but lower in recognition of the union. In the aspect of career choice, they are more inclined to "decent" career, which has a lower employment stability. They generally feel heavy work pressure and have low income satisfaction. Their growth experience is closer to the city people, they have more clear professional role, and their motivation of going out for employment is both economy and expansibility. The generational differences between migrant workers also has a certain influence on the labor relations:(1) new generation migrant workers’motivation for development have improved their psychological bearing ability of low wages and benefits;(2) a high level of education and professional skill have improved migrant workers’ability of negotiating with employers, which helps to alleviate the trend of "endowment strong law weak";(3) the trend of changes in number of new generation migrant workers could possibly cause a new round of "migrant workers shortage".Laborer relation problem for migrant workers is not only an economic problem, but also a political problem. At present, the overall situation of the labor relations is still "endowment strong law weak", migrant workers are at the bottom of the society, they are unable to compete with the employer when they are treated unfairly. Therefore, it is important for the government to intervene in labor relations of migrant workers as a laborer, and play a leading role. Government should play leading role from the following aspects:(1) perfect the labor system, accelerate the reform of household registration system, and guarantee stable employment of rural migrant workers;(2) set up a reasonable wage growth mechanism to solve the problem of migrant wages for migrant worker;(3) perfect the labor legislation, and earnestly safeguard the rights and interests of migrant workers as a laborer;(4) to strengthen the construction of migrant workers social security;(5) to strengthen the employment training for the migrant workers and humanistic care of them.This study also has many deficiencies, for example, the lack of investigations, and the operability and effectiveness of some countermeasures. Therefore, some further exploration and studies are still needed.
