Study On The Bureaucrats’ Property-declaration System In China

Bureaucrats’ property-declaration system, also called "Sunshine-Law", helps to strengthen bureaucrats’ self-discipline, to regulate their behavior, and to prevent corruption. China started to build this system in the1980s and has made some important progress in both institutional design and practice. this paper focuses on this system and includes these parts:This paper, starting from basic concepts, discusses the importance of building regulations; the paper reviews the history of building property-declaration system and the reality in some specific areas such as Aletai in Xinjiang. This paper also explores the problems in the current reality and borrows some lessons from other countries to solve these problems.
