This paper points out that in the new media era, the police-residents interactive pattern can be effectively improved, which depends on the application of present new technologies.In the modern society where science and technology is developing rapidly, face-to-face, letters, phone communication and so on already can not satisfy the need of daily information processing. This phenomenon stands out more obviously for modern police work. Since the reform and opening up, Guangzhou’s economic activities have been flourishing day by day. But the police work like the public security, penalty, census register, etc that come along also show the lack of hands. How to achieve a higher working efficiency?
