Since the1970s, with the capitalist industrialization in the prevalence of Westernsociety, the economy of developed countries has been rapid development, so the globalindustrialization has become an inevitable trend of the times. The destruction of thenatural environment as global industrialization to the world spread, thus leading to aglobal ecological crisis. The natural ecological problems are increasingly high degree ofconcern, has also become a research topic of ecological socialism. David Pepper is thethird generation of Ecological Socialism important representatives, he stood to make acritique of Marxist anthropocentric position ecocentrism as well as post-moderntendencies. Mainly from three parts to discuss in depth the David Pepperdineeco-socialist ideology, and their theory was an objective evaluation.The first part describes the background of the times of David Pepper SocialistTheory of Ecology. In this section discusses the social background of David Peppereco-socialist theory and the theoretical premise of this theory.The second section describes the main content of David Pepper Socialist Theory ofEcology. In this section mainly discusses the Pepperdine eco-socialist ideology includescritique of ecological utopianism, the Pepperdine analysis of the root causes of theecological crisis and the blueprint for the future development of socialism idea.The third part describes the David Pepper’s eco-socialist theory,.In this section, themain Pepperdine contribution to the development of eco-socialist theory, and thelimitations of this theory, as well as the significance of building a socialist harmonioussociety in China.David Pepperdine whole eco-socialist theory, critical environmental utopia, revealthe ecological crisis and social injustice roots, adhere to the anthropocentric position.
