Study On Vertically And Horizontally Converged Community Health Service Pattern

Community Health Service is a hot topic of China’s exploration and research on the medical security system. As a breakthrough gap of the urban medical and health system reform across the country, it has gained rapid development and continuous enhancement. However, it fails to play its due role as a result of the restrictions of medical standards and financial investment. Only some services have been provided separately so far. For the improvement of community health services, it is a critical and difficult issue as to going beyond the constraints and limitations of the existing conditions, giving full play to the high level medical resources acquired by the vertical collaboration and making full use of horizontal support provided by the subdistrict office and community. Based on the elaboration and analysis on the collaborative projects of community health services at home and abroad, this paper proposes a horizontally and vertically converged community health service pattern and elaborates its principle, significance, methods used as well as its strengths. Then, this paper further provides the trial results and effect analysis of actual implementation through putting the bidirectionally converged service pattern into practice in the Community Health Service Center at Garden Road, Beijing. On this basis, a summary is made, and several suggestions are put forward.
