| Public diplomacy is a new diplomacy form which was managed by government,put other countries’ public as target. And the public diplomacy activities is to supportthe achievement of foreign policy goals and objectives, advance nationalinterests,and enhance national security by informing and influencing foreign publics.Public diplomacy platform is the carrier of the public diplomacy activities to providespace and resources for public diplomacy.America is only one of supper country in this word and attach a great importanceto public diplomacy. State utilizes a broad range of venues both physical and virtualplatform to engage foreign audiences outside of embassy compounds overseas and tokeep a American presence in the local.In general,these public diplomacy outreachincludes communications with international audiences, cultural programming,educational exchanges and so on.U.S. public diplomacy platform formed its owncharacteristics, but there are also some disadvantages. These American overseasplatforms provide a great of experience for Chinese.This article consists of two parts of the citations and body. The citation accountof the object of this paper outlines the importance and relevance of academic researchsituation. In addition, account of the theoretical significance and practical significanceand research methods of this study.The text includes a total of three parts.Section one expounds the American major overseas public diplomacyplatform.These platforms include American Centers, American Presence Posts,American Corners, Binational centers,Virtual Presence post and social media.Inthis section I will introduce these venues’ construction mode, the current developmentsituation, mainly actives and the feature of these platforms’ construction.Section two mainly discuss the characteristics and weaknesses of theconstruction of U.S public diplomacy platform.Section three mainly discuss the enlightenments of U.S. public diplomacyplatform to the Chinese public diplomacy platform built. |
