A Study On Chinese Cyber-nationalism

Owing to the improvement of national comprehensive strength, the rising of the status of China and the development of internet in China since1990s, cyber-nationalism is fast growing in China with a series of events. This new phenomenon of nationalism on the Internet has aroused the attention of all circles of the society because of its increasing involvement-scale and social impact. This paper is based on the analysis of the causes, developmental stages, manifestations, participants and the platform of expression of Chinese cyber-nationalism. The paper analyzes Chinese cyber-nationalism with the considering of the international environment in different periods and international relations theories. Basing on hereinbefore problems, this paper uses the method of criterion and demonstration research and determining the nature and quantifying research to find deeper causes of Chinese cyber-nationalism its impact of public opinions, social culture, government decision-making. The author tries to provide new ideas and expanded to explore new academic and research space of intensive study on Chinese cyber-nationalism. Through discussing the causes and phenomenons of Chinese cyber-nationalism, this paper tries to find feasible countermeasures for policy-making to related government departments.
