The formation and development of Jiang Zemin’s thought of ideological education of farmers is in the historical background that the situation at home and abroad significant changes occurred in the nineteen eighties. It is a continuous exploration, development and improvement of the historical process. This thought has inherited and developed the advanced essence, and it has theoretical and practical value during the progress and the development of rural education in China. In the new period, it also has certain guiding significance of the new rural construction. Jiang Zemin did a lot of practical research on education of farmers, and then the formation of theory and correlation theory continue to guide our rural education smoothly. This paper consists of five parts.The first part is prolegomenon. It introduces formation background and content of the research topics, the subject of the research situation at home and abroad, the research methods. And then points out the characteristic and innovation of the studies.The second part is about the conditions of formation in Jiang Zemin’s thought of ideological education of farmers. Including background and theory origin of Jiang Zemin’s thought of ideological education of farmers. First comb and summarize the international and domestic situation. And then make a list thought of ideological education of farmers in Marx, Engels, Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping as the main theoretical support.The third part is about internal structure of Jiang Zemin’s thought of ideological education of farmers. It is in detail two parts including the basic requirements and contents of Jiang Zemin’s thought of ideological education of farmers.The fourth part mainly discusses overall evaluation of Jiang Zemin’s thought of ideological education of farmers. The research is from the two theoretical value and practical value to the evaluation.The fifth part is about guiding significance of Jiang Zemin’s thought of ideological education of farmers. Relate and analyze the guiding significance from eight parts in the new period. And look for the farmer education to provide useful reference, realize the sustainable development of education.
