So far, a large number of influential sub-regional internationalorganizations such as ECOWAS, SADC, ECCAS economic Community of the Great Lakes region, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (OECD) have befounded besides the African Union, which is a continent-wide internationalorganization. Whether in their own articles of association or in the practice of history,these international organizations have great concern about local area conflicts, andhave made great efforts to resolve these conflicts, making then become anindispensable power to solve regional conflicts in Africa.In resolving regional conflicts in Africa, the United Nations, the African Unionand the African sub-regional international organizations have their own advantages, aswell as the inadequacies. With the tripartite forces’ cooperation and complementation,they can learn from each other, the three forces can maintain the continent’s securityand stability.
