Nowadays,United Nations has the most influence in government-organizations of the world.It has a special responsibility to the whole world's peace and safety.In order to realize its response,the Charter of the UN regulates many ways to get it,some as: intermediation,embargo,military action and so on.United Nations Peace Keeping Operation(PKO) is developing and forming in the international practices which based on the tenet and principle of the Charter of the UN.But there has no prescribe in the Charter, so people often call PKO "the half past six rule".PKO had born after the World Warâ…¡.It has forming many rules in its practicing,such as:agreement,neutrality and force-limited, these have made good effects to the PKO.But after the Cold War,the international world has changed a lot,as well as PKO's shortcomings;it is confronted with grimness challenging.For example,the inner conflicts have replaced the inter-nations,PKO's size and missions growing too fast,the resource is hard up,west countries and district organizations is challenging the UN's authority etc.In the face of this problem,the UN's PKO must set down the law quickly.That wills the best method to deal with these problems.This paper has five parts.First,we will review the history and the characters of the PKO.In the second part,we will look at the actuality of the PKO.Then the paper will go on to point the challenges of the PKO.The fourth part is the core of the paper,this one we will discuss the contents of the PKO's law.After these,the China's participation to the PKO is worth to discuss.
