The world cultural and natural heritage is valuable and non-renewable human heritage. As an important part of the natural environment and resources, World heritage for the protection of biodiversity, to maintain ecological balance, to promote coordinated development of human and environment, etc, have great significance, so the protection of world heritage is an important content of human sustainable development. In recent years, in spite of the heritage protection more and more get the attention of the whole society, but within the territory of China, the world heritage protection situation is still serious, which has the original management system problems, but it was the lack of relevant legal system in the current world heritage protection is facing all sorts of the root cause of the problem. Although China has been on the protection of cultural relics, scenic area management provisional regulations on protection of world heritage management laws and regulations, but there is difficult to solve the problems. Although the domestic some scholars analyzed and discussed the existence of the protection of the world heritage of the problem, but most of the papers is limited to the general appeal. Improve the legal system of China’s world heritage protection to achieve sustainable development of the world heritage is the starting point of this study have important theoretical and practical significance for the protection of the precious heritage of the world, to achieve sustainable development of the environment and resources.Hope to from the perspective of sustainable development, this paper combined with the current " Apply for heritage boom ", and based on the world cultural and natural heritage of the definition, classification, characteristics and value, etc were introduced on the basis of the basic situation of the world cultural and natural heritage of the international legal protection system and the existing laws of protection of world cultural and natural heritage sites in China to conduct a comprehensive combing. By using comparative part of the practice of developed countries and inductive method, for analyzing the world heritage of legal protection system in China, points out the problems existing in the legislation, use the analysis and the advanced experience of developed countries, put forward corresponding legal countermeasure to promote the sustainable development of the world heritage in our country, and can use research countermeasures applied to mount tai on the legal protection of natural resources. Finally, from the existing status of the legal protection of mount tai, the analysis of existing problems and shortcomings, according to the specification of Tai an local legislation, in such aspects as legislation, law enforcement, legal culture is put forward in accordance with the law to protect specific suggestions on mount tai. Hope that through the study of mount tai, can play the role of protecting mount tai, at the same time hope that through this article can do for the world cultural and natural heritage protection in China from a meager force.
