Recently,Sino-US relations have developed into one of the most importantbilateral relationship in the world,so the study on U.S.policy toward China hasbecome one of the hot spots of the academic circles at home and abroad.This articlediscusses the evolution of U.S.policy toward China from the founding of new Chinato the administration before Reagan,expresses the whole process of U.S policy ofReagan administration towards China,analyzes internal factors and exter nal factorsof the influence on the U.S policy of Reagan administration toward China,describedthe influence of U.S.policy toward China during the Reagan administration.Chapter1discusses the evolution of U.S.policy toward China from thefounding of new China to the administration before Reagan.It can be divided intothree stages:”get out “and watching,containment and isolation and contact anddialogue,Chapter2analyzes the internal factors that affect U.S.policy towardChina.There are many factors affect U.S.policy toward China.This article mainlydiscusses three aspects.Fistly,the introduction of Reagan,personal impact onU.S.policy toward China.Secondly,Reagan’s diplomacy policy,Reagan’s humanrights diplomacy and of neoconservative thinking of U.S.policy towardChina.Lastly,the effects of U.S.national environment for U.S.policy toward China.Chapter3analyzes the external factors that affect U.S.policy towardChina.Firstly,the factor of Soviet Union,mainly from the point of the internationalpattern to analyze.Secondly,the factor of taiwan,it mainly analysis from the biggestobstacle to Sino-US relations.Lastly,the factor of China.Chapter4explores.the impact of U.S.policy toward China during the Reaganadministration.It explores mainly from three aspects of U.S.policy toward Chinaduring the Reagan administration.The first part is the impact on China.The secondpart is the impact on the United States.The last part is the impact on the worldsituation.
