This thesis analyzed the basic circumstance of, with the deepeningdevelopment of China’s reform and opening up, social developmententered into a sensitive period with concentrated contradictions, thepattern of interests and values changed rapidly, the rights consciousnessof public awakened, with the impetus of the new media and othertransmission methods of information era, the mass incidents happenedfrequently which seriously impact on the political and economic orderand social order, it also destroyed people’s expectations on reform,making the cost of reform increased greatly, in the meantime destroyedthe effectiveness of the order of social management and the governments’credibility.Many scholars studied the mass incidents from all perspectives ofdifferent disciplines. In this dissertation, it focuses on the participants ofmass incidents, to analyze the psychological features of participants, aswell as their behavior characteristics; it also explores the deep reasons oftheir psychology and behavior, in order to provide prevention andresponse mechanism of mass incidents. From the analysis method, this dissertation uses literature analysis,empirical analysis, case study and other research methods. From thisdissertation, the psychological tendency of participants is a subjectivecondition resulting in mass incidents. This dissertation analyzes massincidents from group psychology and behavior, from the perspective ofpsychology to study the deep reasons of mass incidents outbreak, whichbroaden the research perspective the research angle of current massincidents, deepening the research contents and providing a theoreticalbasis and method for the prevention and response of mass incidents.
