With the continuous development of Internet technology, the number of Internet usersin China grows quickly and new applications of the Internet come out one after the other.Rapid development of network media provides a convenient platform for charitableactivities. Traditional philanthropy is combined with the Internet, and the number ofnetwork philanthropy actors is mounting. Network philanthropy becomes a new channelfor the growth of philanthropy. Hence, there are practical significances of sorting out thefeatures of network philanthropy and researching development difficulties of it as well assettlement countermeasures.Based on defining network philanthropy connotation, this paper sorted out thefeatures of network philanthropy. In the description of the development of networkphilanthropy, the paper focused on the situation of transmission of network philanthropy,the trust crisis of network philanthropy and the differences between network philanthropyand traditional philanthropy. On this basis, the paper analyzed development difficulties ofnetwork philanthropy with lots of realistic information and strived to propose targetedsettlement countermeasures.The development difficulties of network philanthropy in China are as follows: Firstly,the network management lacks capabilities; Secondly, the network philanthropy lackslegitimacy; Thirdly, allocation of network charitable resources is uneven; Fourthly,network monitoring system is not perfect. Settlement countermeasures for those problemsare as follows: Firstly, improve the architecture of the legal system; Secondly, adoptmanagement mechanism of corporate human resources; Thirdly, build a volunteer pooland a system of sharing of charitable resources; Fourthly, establish and improve theregulatory system of network philanthropy.
