Singapore is one of the successful cases of managing ethnic issues. ButSingapore had been a ethnic issues deeply, different ethnic groups less gatheredtogether in history, and been mutually exclusive, conflict in the country. As a centerlocated in the southeast Asia ethnic malays in the Muslim world and Chinesepopulation accounts for most of the multi-ethnic groups society, Singapore’s ethnicissues has been formed in the UK and Japan’s colonial rule. The ethnic problemsevolved into ethnic violence (malays and Chinese) in subsequent federal period. On the economicfront, the people’s action party and the its government developed economy andimprove the livelihood of the people at the same time, also mobilized all availableresources to enhance survivability of the vulnerable ethnic groups and their socialcompetitiveness, ultimately solve the the economic root of causing ethnic issues. Inthe aspect of culture, Singapore people’s action party and its government tookvarious measures to achieve different ethnic groups and its cultures of all closer toeach other, to adapt to each other, mutual identity and gradually developconsciousness of ethnic harmony. Therefore, Singapore practices of management ofethnic issues is commendable, it is singnificant for our country to further improveour country`s management of national affairs, and to further promote our country`sharmonious national relations in the current situation.
