Study On The Spread Of Marxism In China Before The Establishment Of Chinese Communist Party

The spread of Marxism in China is the first step for the chinization,modernization and popularization of Marxism. It is a basis for studying the history ofChinization of marxism and for studying the Chinization, modernization andpopularization of Marxism to study the spread of Marxism in China before theestablishment of Chinese Communist Party. In addition, the study is favorable forbroadening the new view on the spread study of Marxism in China, which is exactlythe value and significance of this thesis.The first chapter of the thesis talked about some objective reasons for the spreadof Marxism in China before the establishment of Chinese Communist Party, which isone of the thesis’ innovations. Since in the domestic academia, the study on this topicis not systematic enough at present, this thesis talked about this topic in detail toprove the inevitability and possibility of the spread of Marxism in China from the endof19thcentury to the early20thcentury.The second chapter talked about the process of the spread of Marxism in Chinabefore the establishment of Chinese Communist Party, which includes four steps: theearliest introduction of Marxism to China at the end of19thcentury; the preliminaryspread of Marxism in China around the Revolution of1911; the wide spread ofMarxism in China after the October Revolution; and the combination of Marxism andChinese Workers’Movement after the May4th Movement.The third chapter gave a discussion about the contents and the characteristics ofthe spread of Marxism in China. The main contents of spread were discussedaccording to the following three parts: the philosophy of Marxism; Marxist politicaleconomics and scientific socialism. In terms of the characteristics of spread, they werealso talked from three aspects:1) the background and composition of the introducersand propagators are complicated and various;2) the main force of spread isintellectual;3) the combination between Marxism and Chinese Workers’Movement isfast during the spread of Marxism.With the reality and some new insights, the fouth chapter discussed the historicalsignificance of the spread of Marxism in China before the establishment of Chinese Communist Party on the basis of the third chapter, and gave a further illustrationabout the actual implication of the spread history of Marxism in China before theestablishment of Chinese Communist Party to the adhering to Marxism. Incontemporary China, only if are the historical significance and actual implication ofthe spread of Marxism in China known, it is possible to adhere to Marxism better, todevelop Marxism better and impel the Chinization, modernization and popularizationof Marxism further.In short, the thesis showed a overall situation of the spread of Marxism in Chinabefore the establishment of Chinese Communist Party from a panoramic and verticalpoint of view. And this study lays a solid foundation for the studies on the historicaldevelopment of marxism sinicization.
