Shortly after the establishment of the Komintern, the Communist Party of China(CPC)became its subordinate and received its leadership.Initially, the Communist International guided Chinese revolution by means of sending representatives to CPC.Later, since the representatives of the Communist International were not familiar with China's specific national conditions, they made many mistakes during the practice of guiding Chinese revolution. Moreover, the white terror was severe in China. Therefore, the Communist International decided not to send representatives to China.Instead, the CPC elected its own representatives to establish the CPC Delegation to the Communist International to work in Moscow, which served as a link between the Communist International and the CPC.Hereafter,Qu Qiubai,Wang Ming,Wang Jiaxiang and Ren Bishi successively acted as head of the Delegation.During the working period in Moscow from 1928 to 1940,the Delegation of CPC to the Communist International not only completed its own work but also propagated Marxism by all means.Firstly, most of the members of the Delegation pursued their advanced studies in Lenin Institute in Moscow, attended important meetings of the Communist International and learned Marxism,so they improved their level of the Marxist theory.Secondly, their activities, such as founding newspapers, proofreading and translating of?History of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union(Bolsheviks)?,translating, writing and frankly offering advice to the Communist International, were of great significance in further enlarging the influence of Marxism in China to a certain extent. However, the contents propagated by the Delegation, which was under the leadership of the Communist International, were inevitably affected by the Communist International and the paternalism of Soviet leaders, which caused Chinese revolution to be deep in crisis, gave rise to the serious setback of Chinese Soviet movement and hindered the development of Chinese revolution, and therefore they had historic limitations. In the later period, the Marxism propagated by the Delegation was combined with the reality of China and was more aligned with the demand of China in its contents and styles, which made the Chinese communists use the basic concepts of Marxism independently in setbacks and stick to specific analysis of specific issues, thus solving the practical issues of Chinese revolution and also facilitating the enrichment and development of Mao Zedong Thought.Based on the historical background, this paper correctly surveys the influence of the Delegation of CPC to the Communist International in the process of propagating Marxism, and summarizes the successful experiences and historical lessons.Persisting in advance with times and continuous innovation is the key to always maintain the vitality of Marxism. It is an endless cause to follow the main idea of the combination of the fundamental tenets of Marxism and the concrete reality of China, constantly enrich and perfect Marxism, and promote the localization of Marxism in China.
