| The reformation of our country has already entered into the important historical period. The sustained fast development of economy, the transformation of social structure as well as the radical change of social interest structure has highlighted and aggravated the various social contradictions and led to the occurrence of mass disturbances. The mass disturbances disrupted the normal life order, impact severely on the public order, imperiled the social stabilization, and impeded the construction of harmonious socialism. The frequently happenings of mass disturbances at present highlight the potential structural problems of our society and indicate the lack of capacity of our local government in coping with the mass disturbances. Therefore, the study of mass disturbances has great realistic meaning on overcoming the tense social interest relationship and the various negative elements. It can also help maintain the social safety, build the harmonious social order and realize the sustainable development of economy.By adopting the methodological method of Maxism materialistic dialectics, literature analysis, case study, system and interdisciplinary analysis and using the mass disturbances in Nanping City as the case study, this paper attempts to make a study on the mass disturbances. This paper lists six typical cases and analyzes the causes of the mass disturbances from the perspectives of economy, institution, politics and social psychology. The paper also proposes the following advices on defending and overcoming the mass disturbances:the distribution and coordination of social interest, the perfection of institution, the improvement of government administrative ability and the enhancement of preventive and disposing capacity. |
