With the strengthen striding of manufacturing sector from the "greater manufacturing" to " powerful manufacturing" in china, the demanding for product quality and assembly precision in manufacturing also be highlighted. The advanced CNC machine as the trustful tools in manufacturing sector, which directly affects the part precision in manufacturing processes. So, ensuring high quality and precision of CNC machine tools is particularly important. The research about three-dimensional assembly precision optimization of the feed drive system of CNC machine tool, which in order to achieve automated assembly accuracy calculation provided for designers as the technical support in the product designing stage. Thus, reducing the product development cycle and minimizing the economic due to product precision failure.For the three-dimensional assembly precision problem, proposing a CNC machine tool feed system error accumulation assessment methods which based on the polychromatic sets hierarchy method, also, combined with surface characteristic, tolerance type, tolerance zone and related parameters of assembly components in the product design stage. This method establish a six reasoning schema on three-dimensional assembly precision error assessment. On this basis, the formation of a CNC machine tool feed system assembly precision automatic generation process.For the assembly precision optimal&analytical problem, proposing a CNC machine tool feed system worst-case and statistical three-dimensional tolerance analysis method. First, creating a geometric description in the parameter space and parsing the three-dimensional convex hull geometrical features. Simultaneously, describing tolerance zone by SDT three-dimensional convex hull. Subsequently, establishing QCSP mathematical tolerance analysis model base on the relationship among the three-dimensional convex hull and the concept of QCSP. Finally, the formation of worst-case and statistical three-dimensional tolerance analysis algorithm process based on QCSP and MC.Finally, taking the feed system of TGK46100advanced CNC machine labeled by Kunming Machine Tool Factory as an example, and numerical example verified the effectiveness and practicality of optimization process in the machine tool feed system.
