With the rapid development of computer technology, automatic control technology and field bus technology, air-jet loom mechatronic control systems have been greatly improved.The research and development of air-jet loom control system in our country have a late start, and is still lagging far behind in comparison with foreign countries. And the key part of the air-jet loom control system mostly relies on import. When it comes to centralized management, the air-jet loom control system used by most domestic textile enterprises is still on the level of single loom, without remote monitoring and remote control.In order to improve the management capacity, this article put forward a new scheme of developing a remote-control system of air-jet loom based on the CAN bus and Web technology. Using this system, managers can monitor the status of all air-jet looms from remote computers, and can also check production reports, or make bulk changes in the configuration parameters of the air-jet looms. This paper mainly includes as follows:(1) Analyzed the characteristics of the CAN bus, the development trend as well as the advantages compared with other field bus.(2) After an investigation of the condition of the producing management of Chinese textile industry and analysis of a lot of practices, the author provides a new scheme of developing a remote control system of air-jet loom based on CAN and Web technology.(3) Added CAN module to the STM32based core board of air-jet looms control system. And then the system software has been designed, including the preparation of the driver and the application program.(4) Built the CAN gateway nodes by using Mini2440development board and the CAN module.(5) Defines the application layer communication protocol between the CAN gateway and the air-jet loom nodes.(6) Conducted a series of tests, summarizes the result of the experiment, and then gives the direction for improvement.
