For any country in the world, to convey their country’s unique culture and showcaseits cultural achievements, the establishment of the Consular Department building, no nota typical window. British style architecture is characterized by "westernized" buildingWestern architectural form of colonial architecture into Wuhu to witness history. Consulatearchitectural character compatible with the cultural identity of a nation or a geographicalgroups, worthy of our research to explore.This thesis Wuhu Modern (1877-1913) construction has a certain historical value,scientific value, cultural value and artistic value of the building (the British ConsularDepartment in Wuhu) as the main object of study. Collected through literature, field trips,a comprehensive and systematic analysis of architectural theory and research methodsdiagramming construction background, architectural forms and decorative features of thebuilding of the Consular Department, to tease out the British in the historical contextof the building of Wuhu Consular Department. Studied from the point of view of thearchitectural design Architectural Overview, Design History and construction group, witharchitectural elements, one by one in-depth analysis and tissue types of the architecturalspace, mechanism analysis as well as building construction and building technology,materials, structure, decoration and craft, and then summed up the characteristics of theUnited Kingdom in Wuhu consular Department building.Summed Building Preservation andRestoration Wuhu Modern Architecture design principles and the evaluation system of thePreservation and Restoration Project of the Modern Architecture Preservation andRestoration in Wuhu technology and renewable design.
