LED wick’s heat problems related to the performance of LED lamp, which restricts the further development of the LED. LED wick easily cause local overheating, then greatly reducing the LED lamp life, and even damage.A measurement scheme is proposed, which is used to test the high power LED lamp wick’s temperature field. A set of reliable system was designed and built, for testing LED wick’s temperature characteristics. Wick’s temperature field was analyzed and evaluated, applying this system.According to the structural characteristics of LED wick, infrared thermal imaging and the thermocouple were combined to measure the temperature field of LED wick. According the infrared image, the appropriate point is analyzed and selected. Selected the T type thermocouple as the temperature sensor.Thermocouple must be as little as possible, so the hot tinning welding was used.The calibration results show that the Thermocouple has high accuracy, good stability, and achieved the expected design requirements.Three low-pass filter, cold junction compensation circuit and three-op-amp instrumentation amplifier type were designed, in order to achieve the thermoelectric power signal noise removal, cold junction compensation and amplification. A MCU measurement system was designed using MSP430F149MCU. Then a system for temperature measurement was set up, verification results show that:the temperature measuring system is normal, achieves the expected effect of temperature.Finally, applying the system to measure the measurement points, the wick’s temperature field are analyzed and evaluated.
