Radial piston pump is a new type of efficient energy-saving hydraulicpump, which has impact resistance, long service life, wide displacement range,low noise and other advantages. Radial piston pump has been widely used inforging, stamping metallurgy, shipbuilding, heavy machinery and otherhydraulic drive systems. At present, the great progress has been made in thelocalization of radial piston pump in domestic. But compared with foreignhydraulic pump, the rated pressure of radial piston pump in domestic, which isonly up to28MPa, is still relatively low. Along with the development trend ofmaking rated pressure rank of hydraulic motors higher, the rated pressure of28MPa can’t meet the requirement of service. So it is necessary to try toimprove the existing rated pressure of JBP-40variable pintle valve radial pistonpump from28MPa to35MPa.And under the circumstances, the analysis ofmechanical properties of the non-moving parts need be carried on,so thatthrough research and improve, the rated pressure of domestic radial pistonpump can be increased to35MPa. The main research contents are as follows:(1)The fatigue strength, the static strength and the rigidity of the pintlevalve are checked by using the method of theoretical calculation, and analysisof the force balance of the pintle valve including static balance and dynamicpressure balance is done. Analysis results show that fatigue strength, staticstrength and stiffness of the pintle valve are enough; the static equilibriumcoefficient has nothing to do with the rated working pressure, and it still canmake ninety-eight percent compression force balance, which is not affected bythe increased rated pressure; the minimum of oil film thickness and leakage ofoil are within the scope of the security, and satisfies the requirement ofdynamic pressure oil film exist, so the reliability of the sliding bearing frictionpair which is made up of the rotor and the pintle valve can been guaranteed.(2)Firstly, according to the statically indeterminate principle in mechanicsof materials, through the methods of theory analysis, the maximum stress ofthe stator in dangerous working conditions is calculated; Secondly, with the method of finite element analysis, the stress of the stator geometric modelestablished in Pro-E software in dangerous working conditions is analyzed byusing ANSYS Workbench software, then the comparison of two analysisresults is made. Both theoretical calculation results and software analysisresults show that the strength of the stator is not enough. The method toimprove the yield limit of the material by changing the stator material is takenin this paper, so as to solve the insufficient strength problem.(3)With the method of finite element analysis, the stress and thedeformation of the pump body geometric model established in Pro-E softwarein dangerous working conditions is analyzed by using ANSYS Workbenchsoftware. The analysis results show that the stiffness of the pump casing isenough, but the strength is not enough. In the same way, the problem of theinsufficient strength by changing the pump body material is solved.(4)With the method of finite element analysis, modal analysis of thepintle valve, stator and pump body model are respectively carried on by usingANSYS Workbench software. Then the comparison of modal results andfrequencies of the excitation source is made. The results show that threenatural frequencies are stagger with the vibration source frequencies to someextent, thus the possibility that the stator, the pintle valve, and the pump bodyresonate with the vibration source is ruled out.In conclusion, after raising the rated pressure of the new type of radialpiston pump up to35MPa, performance of non-moving parts can still meet therequirements through analysis and improvement, this method provides certainbasis for the development of domestic high pressure radial piston pump.
