Even In Service The Old Stone Arch Bridge In Widening Of Security Analysis And Optimization

At present, the stone arch bridges built in the1960s and1970s generally face bearing capacity shortage, has been unable to meet the traffic volume and overloading, Current treatment for these old stone arch bridges is strengthening or widening. So It is extremely important to analyse and evaluate security of bridges after strengthening or widening. Taking the West Ulanhot LargeBridge built in cold area of Inner Mongolia in1960s as an example, study the Safety of stone arch bridge after the transverse wall and spandrel beam were constructed on the bridge this paper mentioned.Firstly, detection and analysis of old stone arch bridge were done to evaluate the the feasibility of reinforcement and reuse.Secondly, a comprehensive analysis wre done to evaluate the safety of widening and reinforcement of old stone arch bridge.Thirdly,Through the detailed technical comparison of reinforcement of schemes of widening and reinforcement of old stone arch bridge, optimizing the scheme of reinforcement and widening of old stone arch bridge.Finally, some feasible suggestions of prospects for the use and protection of stone arch bridge were put forwarded. In short, the use of adding transverse wall and spandrel beam on reinforcement and widening of stone arch bridge is worthy of spreading of strengthening technology.
