Inner Mongolia Youth In The Popular Music Of Rock And Hip Hop

As a popular culture, Rock and Hip-hop music have been welcomed by Inner Mongolian Youth, and playing more and more important role among them. This article analyzes Mongolian Bands from perspective of Ethnology on the basis of fieldwork research, to have multi-layered, multi-perspective insight to the introduction and development of Mongolian Rock Music, Hip-hop Music and relevant bands in Inner Mongolia.The article consists of three parts, introduction, body text (three chapters) and conclusion. In the part of introduction, the author gives an outline of reason and meaning of choosing this topic, and introduces former studies on the topic and the methodology used in the article. The first chapter analyzes the cultural reason of rising of Rock and Hip-hop music among Inner Mongolian youth. The Second chapter focuses on Mongolian Bands in Inner Mongolia, and analyzes the name, music and representation format of those bands. The third chapter discusses the social function and cultural value of Rock and Hip-hop music in Inner Mongolia. In the part of Conclusion, the author summarizes the existing condition of Rock and Hip-hop music in Inner Mongolia, and comes out with his own opinion concerning the topic. The article also provides related pictures and interview records as appendix.
