Olympias (c.373-316BCE), daughter of a Molossian king, wife of PhilipⅡofMacedon, and mother of Alexander the Great, lived a remarkable life. Thoughcomparatively obscure during her husbands (r.359-336BCE)and her sons reign(r.336-323BCE) transformed her into a powerful political force in the entire Greekpeninsula and the one of models of the queens during the Hellenistic time.I tried toreveal the hard exploration and practice of Olympias in her marriage and politicalpower intervention. The first chapter mainly studied lifetime and religion experiences of Olympias, tried to explain how was herself influenced by her growing environment. I also triedto further discuss how did later scholars and historian to make the image of her. Then followed is the analysis of the retrospection of marriage and diplomatichistory of the royal women of early Macedonian Argead dynasty, I tried tounderstand the nature and purpose of marriage between PhilipⅡand Olympias, and then focused on analyzing the status and influencing factors of royal women wholive in the palace. The third chapter mainly investigated the political action and influence ofOlympias when she lived in the rule of Alexander the Great. I try to outline clearly therole definition of Olympias and those royal women whom similar to Olympias. asmuch as possible, compared and analyzed the political role definition betweenancient kings and queens.Last but not least,The goal of this passage is to answer the questions:why didshe acted as the one of pioneers of the Hellenistic Queens? This is also the title of mypassage.
