In the field of second language acquisition, the researches on communication strategies have been fruitful in foreign countries, but the research on Chinese as a second language is still in the initial stage. In this paper, we are based on Faerch&Kasper (1983) classification frame as Chinese learners’ communicative strategy classification standard, via interviews, stories reporting to describe and summaries the use of communication strategies in primary level of Chinese learner by their communicative behavior. We transfer a record with304minutes, and get nearly40000words which involve the quantitative and qualitative analysis statistics. We investigate the task of communication, communication environment, social and cultural aspects to explore the influencing factors of communication strategies, and finally the study is applied to the training on communication strategies. The objects of this research are the primary learners, and we use the method of random sampling to choose different languages background of learner, which make the research more extensive and universal. The interviews and retelling stories are set in a relaxed and true communication environment, which is better to record and describe the learners’communicative strategic behavior. The study shows that Chinese learners have an awareness of communication strategies,91%achievement strategies are used to promote the conversation that reflects the demand for Chinese learners to successful communication. Reduction strategies are about9%. They are important elements of influence conversation atmosphere and communication quality. But the use of reduction strategies is not mature by Chinese learner. In addition to the use of a single strategy, the author also finds that Chinese learners use composite strategies in real communication, there are10%of the composite is used in total. It is obviously that Chinese learners need various strategies in their communication. Around the task of communication, communication environment, cultural and social factors, we analysis the influence factors about communication strategies on Chinese as a second language. Research shows that the more difficult the task is, the more communication strategies will be used; and in real communicative environment, learners pay attention to the significance of the expression, the strategy consciousness is stronger. Different from learning English as a second language, the mother tongue of Chinese learners are small language, so they use LI strategies at lower frequencies. The retrieval strategies are always neglected in most studies, which rank the second in my research. Besides, the author also finds in the E-learning era, appeal for assistance strategy has been extended to the network, electronic dictionary, App software of mobile; at last the gender has become the main influencing factors when learner use Non-linguistic strategies.Girls love to overcome communication barriers through body language, expression and other paralinguistic ways.Combined with the research discovery, the author encourages making some training on communication strategies. Operation according to the sorting and practice of using the small kind of strategy, the author proposed stages have shallow into the deep invisible teaching of communication strategies, then we design three teaching steps on training: Appeal for assistance, non—linguistic strategy and interlanguage strategy.
