This thesis inquires into the stone-constructed graves of Tibet’s prehistoric time (the time before the establishment of Tubo Dynasty) that located in Tibet. On the basis of previous studies, the paper mainly studies about the region-division,period-division and cultural type-division with the archaeological typology and factor analysis method. Conclusions are as follow:Firstly, based on the differences of geographical environment, this paper divides Tibetan areas into three regions:the Eastern Tibet region, Southern Tibet region, and Northern Tibet region, as well as analyses the area distribution of the stone-constructed graves of this there region.Secondly, according to the analysis of burial accessories in tombs and the14C dating data, the paper reveals that, the stone-constructed graves in Tibet first appeared in the Eastern Tibet region and the easter of Southern Tibet region. The development of stone-constructed graves in Tibet’s prehistoric time can be divided into two big periods:The Early period is from the late Neolithic Age to Xia and Shang dynasties,and the late is from Xia and Shang dynasties to the time before the establishment of Sui and Tang dynasty.Thirdly, according to the characteristics of the funerary relics, the stone-constructed burials in Tibet’s prehistoric time can be divided into different culture types. In the early period, the culture types include Xiao-en-da Type in the Eastern Tibet and Lin-zhi Type in the east of Southern Tibet, Early Qu-gong Type and Long-zhi Type in the middle of Southern Tibet. In the late period, the culture types include Late Qu-gong Type in the middle of Southern Tibet and Piyang· Dongga Type in the western of Southern Tibet. The culture types in Northern Tibet can not sure so far for the lest of archaeological excavations.By comparing the cultural connotation of different types, it is know that, the culture types maintain an relatively independent development. When it come to the late period, the range of the stone-constructed burials in Tibet’s prehistoric time expands, and the culture feature of the burials in the three big regions appear a situation that they develop independent as well as linking to each other.Finally,the paper study that the stone-constructed graves in different region had different origins and ethnic group.
