Moral Incentives

Moral incentive is the mechanism of moral regulation, and it’s one of the most important ways and means of moral construction and moral education. It has indispensable role in ordering moral conduct、propagating and guiding the mainstream values of a society and maintaining social stability etc. The theory and practice about moral incentive is highly regarded by theorists. On the nature, incentive includes a driven towards behavior, that is positive incentive, such as, award. And includes restraining the behaviour, that is reverse incentive, such as punishment.It also includes self-defeating and the opposite effect context of incentive itself, that is negative incentive.The paper based on the moral construction explores the positive incentive of moral behaviour and moral characters from the aspects of the spirit and substance incentive and the construction of moral regime environment.This thesis is into five parts altogether besides the foreword the conclusion. The first part:the analysis of connotation of moral incentives. Part Ⅱ is devoted to the justices of moral incentives. Moral incentives is an important issue in the field of ethics theory and practice.At present, we must justify the necessity of moral incentives. Some opinions suggested that it would harm the purity of socialist moral by adopting moral incentive to realize the goal of moral regulation. The paper suggested moral incentives is the effective means for moral regulation by analyzing the fact and justice of moral incentives.The third part is related to the principles of moral incentives. Moral incentives, as a means of social moral regulation, it must obey some principles of essentiality, directivity, operability.The fouth part based on social moral construction discuss how to perfect moral incentive system from spirit and material motivates forms.Finally, has discussed how to operate moral incentives by the construction of regime environment.
