Books vocabulary study is an important foundation for building the framework of the history of Chinese vocabulary; it is the very first step to the in-depth study of the Chinese vocabulary development history. Shang Shu is the earliest historical documents compilation in China; the Confucians respect it as the first of all classics. Jin Wen Shang Shu belongs to the same period with oracle-bone inscription and bronze inscriptions; it is a very precious language data for studying the history of ancient Chinese vocabulary.Gu Wen Shang Shu is very important exegetical material, it added a lot of historical facts and enriched the content of Jin Wen Shang Shu, therefore it is has high research value as well.Gu Wen Shang Shu is a very important treasure house of literature resources. We have Jin Wen Shang Shu and Gu Wen Shang Shuboth as our research object, exhaustive statistics is expected to carry out a systematic study of polyphony Single-morpheme word. On the basis of previous research, we made a systematically description and feature summary of the pronunciation, writing and the significance of all Single-morpheme words; we strived to fill some gaps of Jin Wen Shang Shu&Gu Wen Shang Shu vocabulary study, also made useful exploration in Single-morpheme word research.Single-morpheme words in Jin Wen Shang Shu&Gu Wen Shang Shu can be divided into three categories:Lianmianci, Repeated Words, and attached sound words.There are18Lianmianci in Jin Wen Shang Shu&Gu Wen Shang Shu, most of them are verbs. The article analyzes Lianmianci from three aspects,"word meaning unity","glyph diversity" and "Rhythm relations".AnalyzedLianmianci individually to explore the characteristics of Lianmianci, sketched out the aspect of Jin Wen Shang Shu&Gu Wen Shang Shu Lianmianci and it’s personality traits.Repeated Words is divided into two categories in this article,"Single-morpheme Reduplicated words " and "Synthetic Reduplicated words ".The path of the article’s statistical analysis is:collecting all isomorphic reduplicated corpusâ†'eliminate phrasesâ†'eliminate Synthetic Reduplicated words, gain Single-morpheme Reduplicated wordsâ†'Single-morpheme Reduplicated words alone discussion.Through such a layer-by-layer screening, investigation, analysis, understanding of the whole picture, gets accurate Single-morpheme Reduplicated words material, analysis the nature of Single-morpheme Reduplicated words in both semantic features and pragmatic function. There are54sound-repeated words,15of them are Single-morpheme Reduplicated words, the features of them are, small amount, low productivity, semantic unique,unique word classes.There are no head-attached syllable words but only tail-attached syllable wordsin Jin Wen Shang Shu&Gu Wen Shang Shu vocabulary, only one type of this kind:You+type word. There are97You+type words, most of which are noun, few adjectives and verbs. These words can combine with noun. Adjectives and verb, the combinations stay as same speech parts. The word You constitute a dual tone attached syllable word, with and without it won’t change the part of speech or meaning, it does not have any impact in terms of syntactic function.Constitutions of the Polyphony Single-morpheme Words in Jin Wen Shang Shu&Gu Wen Shang Shu have both common features and personality characteristics as well.Constitution of Jin Wen Shang Shu&Gu Wen Shang Shu distribution and the part of speech is:Attached syllable words> Lianmianci> Reduplicated words; nouns> verbs> adjectives. For Gu Wen Shang Shu: Attached syllable words> Reduplicated words> Lianmianci; nouns> adjectives> verbs.The comparison results show that the number of Polyphony Single-morpheme Words in Gu Wen Shang Shu dramatically reduced, a very low frequency use of the word, part of speech distribution is extremely uneven. The result of the comparison indicates that Polyphony Single-morpheme Words vitality is weak. Disyllabification need to comply with the law of development of language and its basic principles.The research methods applied in this paper:first to sort out the similarities and differences between the ancient and modern concept of Single-morpheme Words, then use modern linguistics knowledge to clearly define the material.Combine exhaustive quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, the description and interpretation. Making of detailed research and discrimination on all cases, strive to find out the law from the linguistic phenomenon, sum up the characteristics and properties of Polyphony Single-morpheme Words. In addition, chartsare used to make statistical analysis to compare notes.
