Along with the development in the fields of politics, economy, technology, and culture in China,"mandarin fever" continues to heat up on a global scale in recent years. Meanwhile, international tourism has been in fashion. As a mysterious state, China has achieved rapid development. With its enchanting natural scenery and sound economic environment, It has been one of the first choice for tourists. Tourists all over the world come to China in a continuous stream year by year. More and more people are passionate about learning Chinese. The urgent demand for Chinese learning of foreign tourists has spawned a new class of textbooks about tourism Chinese. Due to the author’s investigation, the amount of textbooks on sale about tourism Chinese is small and the design solution is the same as that of the tourism English teaching materials. Being lack of innovation, the tourism Chinese teaching materials on the market does not greatly cover cultural knowledge. For these two reasons, this thesis argues cultural factors should be taken in to consideration. In order to help the foreigners learn Chinese better by fostering the foreigners learning interest and deepening their understanding of Chinese culture, the teaching materials should contain more cultural knowledge.
