"Peep" as a kind of common social behavior, pointing to the inner world of the human desire and potential demands. Its universality and confidentiality become the charm that attracts the creator, and it is closely related to folk taboo culture and contemporary mass culture. Then the peep narrative as a means of narration is a unique narrative technique in the Chinese novels in the new period, because it not only shows out human hidden psychological instinct, reveals the dark psychological traits of people, but also integrates peer behavior into the narrative text, broke the deadlock that avoided privacy in the beginning of contemporary literature and deepen the pluralistic value in the literature of New Period.Throughout novels in the new period, since Liu Xinwu began to explore privacy issues, the peep narrative has become a key means of narration that discussed how to view privacy in the literature of New Period. First, Liu Xinwu concerns that public space dominated private space in the extremely left political background of revolution ages, and tells the story which revolutionary masses peep and expose special men with a realistic narrative, reflecting the traits of scar literature that reveal characteristics of trauma, moralizing, rational enlightenment; Second, Can Xue, the dancer with the dark soul, builds a ubiquitous peep vortex with her cold attitude, reveals the morbid and distorted human relationships, and reflects avant-garde literature’s heterogeneity characteristics; Thirdly, from his Golden Years, Wang Xiaobo digs a disguised peeping story of the person at the power, pokes fun at the true power with a witty humor narrative, and calls for the rationality of individualism and freedom with the individualism way of writing; Finally, Tie Ning in the time feminism became popular showed her distinguished posture, not only gazing at "materialization" of female space and female body in the perspective of the "third sex", but also expressing her suspicion of extreme female narrative with her rebellion narrative. These typical peep narratives have variable characters, and each has its own point, reflects author’s complex narrative intention, embodies the multiple changes in the New Period literature, and refracts the different social and cultural connotation. Why the peep narrative has such unique charm, because on the one hand, the author can write peeping, intuitive and privacy exposure; On the other hand, readers can read peeping scenario, unleashing their peep desire, and enjoy the fantasy pleasure in the "peek in the peep". In addition, it also reveals common and secret social psychology of the Chinese literature in the New Period with a symbolic way, enriches literary narrative and narrative space in this period, and deepens the unique social and historical, political and cultural connotation. In the meanwhile, it provides a new perspective for us to read literature, explore the literature, and also enriches the literary theme. However, the peep narrative, also has a negative value, it not only splits other people’s privacy, but also has the suspicion to escape the moral condemnation. Therefore the peep narrative needs a basic moral bottom line, so that it is more conducive to the purification of literature narrative environment, sublimate the narrative connotation of literature.
