Mr. Yu Youren has many achievements during his lifetime, As for revolution, Mr. Yu started The Republic of China as a founding father of a country; As for news, Mr. Yu was a veteran journalist; As for education, Mr. Yu was a well-known educator; As for poetry, Mr. Yu was a famous patriotic poet; As for calligraphy, Mr. Yu was known as the sage of calligraphy. His literature inherited excellent traditional Chinese poetry and the unique style of his calligraphy works struck out a new line for oneself. From the perspective of literature and calligraphy fusion, they are better and laid a solid position.Literature and calligraphy are the excellent traditional culture of China. Literature is the art of language, calligraphy is the art of Chinese characters, literature and calligraphy have homogeneity in the origin, the main content of calligraphy is the performance of literature, calligraphy has more implication and more profound cultural connotation because of literature, therefore, the relationship between writers and calligraphers also has a long history. In the other hand, interdisciplinary research literature contributes to our understanding of its nature. In this paper, The relationship between Mr. Yu Youren poetry and calligraphy is the main angle of view, Through overview and summary Mr. Yuyouren’s poetry and calligraphy creation, from the cultural heritage and cultural significance of the building, mainly to explore the association between Mr. Yu Youren’s poetry and Chinese calligraphy culture and its interaction, trying to figure out why Mr. Yu Youren is famous for poet and calligraphy, so as to reflect on the present literature and calligraphy culture status, and do some related thinking.This paper attempts to provide a comprehensive investigation and study to the character and text book deep affinity from the literary culture and calligraphy cultural perspectives. Besides the introduction, conclusion two parts, this paper is composed of five chapters:the first chapter, separately from the literary life and calligraphy life of Yu Youren, discuss to Yu Youren’s love of the literary culture and calligraphy cultural; The second chapter and the third chapter, analyzes the main types of Yu Youren’s literary and calligraphy, that is his literary types associated with the calligraphy culture and his calligraphy types associated with the literary culture; The fourth chapter, from the aspects of in-depth study of the relationship between his literary culture and his calligraphy culture; The fifth chapter analysis of the contemporary significance of Yu Youren and his works. This paper focuses on that the forms expand, that the content become rich, that the style show each other,that they become one between Yu Youren’s poetry and Chinese calligraphy. This complex relationship makes poetry, calligraphy and artist (calligraphers, writer) appears inevitable trend of the Trinity. It strengthens the relations, enrich the cultural connotation between literary and calligraphy and enhances the comprehensive cultivation of artists. It has the important enlightenment function to the healthy development of contemporary literature and calligraphy culture.
