Modern Chinese verbs have a lot of significance complex monosyllabic polyseme, such as "da ". The word "da" is generally considered one of the most flexible usage monosyllabic polyseme verbs. This article tries to analyze the semantic evolution, common justice, basic justice of the "da". Then the article summarizes the meaning of the word according to its properties, analyzing the history of the verb "da" and the achievements of linguists for the word "da".The meaning of the verb "da" is gradually enriched with a long-term development. On the study of monosyllabic polyseme verb "da", linguists from every period always analyze the word’s meaning by diachronic evolution or synchronic corpus. However, most achievements of the study has not combined the errors produced by the learner who learn Chinese as a second language to study the characteristics of the verb "da". In order to root in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, this paper try to analyze the error produced by the learner on the basis of the meaning study of verb "da",then propose some suitable method to solve the learner’s error. The material of the paper is from the specialized questionnaire which is designed for intermediate class student, combined with the key outline of teaching Chinese as second language vocabulary and the main textbook.According to the ontology research achievements of the verb "da", this paper analyze the errors produced by the learners and various causes and try to find the better teaching strategies of the verb "da".The body of this paper includes three main parts:The first one is analyzing the key aim, research task, research method and the main achievements of research about the verb"da". Modern Chinese verb "da" is one of the monosyllabic verbs in the modern Chinese, In the class of teaching Chinese as a second language,"da" is the difficulty point of teaching. Therefore, we need to comb and summary its meaning systematically, this will be the foundation of teaching。Second, the thesis summarizes the various generation’s research results of the " da" since the eastern Han dynasty scholars to the modern, from east Han WangYanShou’s "Meng Fu", OuYangXiu in song dynasty to the modern celebrity LiuBanNong and so on. Then the paper summarizes the research achievements of predecessors and theoretical results. Again, we talked about the paper’s research methods. Finally, the paper put forward the problems which need to solve, this is the innovation of the paper.The second part includes current research of the verb "da". The first point is to clear the evolution of meaning of" da", referring the eastern Han dynasty, the six dynasties, tang and Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. Lists in each historical period, the meaning of the word "da" the main evolution. Second, the paper cites24basic meanings of"da" in the Modern Chinese Dictionary, then listing the common collocation on the basis of investigation in the meaning of the verb "da" in Modern Chinese Dictionary, Modern Chinese Standard Dictionary and Modern Chinese800word, summing up its meaning of the word by comparison. Third, the paper try to tell the reason of the meaning evolution of "da".Third chapter based on the second chapter’s the research of"da"word, combined with the result of questionnaire analysis which is made for the learners who learn Chinese as a second language, including the most commonly errors, reason analysis, inductive type. In order to acquire more clear understanding of the second language learners’ problems and errors in learning "da", the author creates the test according to "Chinese textbook". The first section simple introduces the questionnaire test purposes, problem set, test results, etc. The second point analyzes the most often appear errors on the basis of the results of the questionnaire together with own experience in teaching Chinese as a second language. Third, the paper discusses the teaching strategies with the research achievements of errors analysis. On the basis of previous research, this paper analyzes the errors produced by the learners who use Chinese as a second language to make some contribution to ontology research of the verb "da", the theory and teaching of outline of teaching Chinese as a foreign language vocabulary.Main significance and function of this paper is to analyze meanings of the verb "da" and development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, then putting forward teaching method. The final aim is helping second language learners to learn how to use the verb "da" accurately.
