"Xin Shi Yan" Appellation Research

Chinese appellation is a complex system of language and culture, and also isan important component of Chinese lexical system, is indispensable in speechcommunication tool. Study on Chinese appellation, which can be used for us to sortout the appellation system development, and can provide a way to understand theancient culture, the social development for us.In this paper we use the book Xing Shi Yan，whose author is Lu ren long，as the research object and we make use of the methods of synchronic and diachronic、quantitative and qualitative analysis. The book about appellation is systematiclyconcluded and analyzed.The full paper is divided into four parts:The introduction of this paper focus on the general situation and currentsituation of Xing Shi Yan.Meanwhile,we put chinese appellation into definitionand classification.we also discuss the meaning and method of Xing Shi Yan.In the chapter one，the kinship appellation of Xing Shi Yan has been definiedand classified.Meanwhile,the kinship appellation, contemporary and juniors hasbeen divided by status of a generation.It has made conclusion that the kinshipappellation and the morpheme of “老”and“娘”have been widely used.In the chapter two，the introduction of social appellation of Xing Shi Yanhas contained the relationship, occupational identity, the physiologicalfeature,behaviour,religion and so on.And furthermore,the change of theappellation in the late social of Ming dynasty has been found by innovation andrestoration staggeringIn the chapter three，the research on the emotional appellation ofXing ShiYanincludes prefix、modest appellaton and impolite appellation.The feature aboutthese is widely using prefix and the emotional appellation is inheritance notinnovate.The last part is the conclusion of the appellation of research value andcharacteristic of Xingshiyan are summarized.
