Personality is the carrier of thought. Wangbi started from the inherent contradictionsbetween Ziran and Mingjiao, combinated Confucianism and Taoism, usedTaoist Ziran to dissolve the Confucian moral hypocrisy. This paper arguesthat Wangbi maintained Guiwu, but he did not argue Jianyou. Wangbi’sWu does not nothing or vanity, but an empty accommodation for theexistence of all things.
