To have a further study of folk-custom helps peoplelearn more about some social customs and production situation in certain period. Because ofnational unity in Qing Dynasty, the society was stable and civilization wasdeveloped.Meanwhile, the exams were also popular. With Xun Gu Zhuan Zhu coming up,many exam notes were also left for people. In these notes existed lots of folk-customvocabulary which had important values for study. This article is based on TongSu Zi Lin Bian Zheng as chief source and has further summary and study of these folk-customwords in the view of folk-custom linguistics.This article is divided into three parts. The first part is introduction. The second is bodypart which consists of4chapters. The third part is the summary.The introduction is mainly about the study of folk-custom words and historical overviewand also to develop the purpose meaning and method of Tong Su Zi Lin Bian Zheng.The first chapter is the introduction of Tong Su Zi Lin Bian Zheng, which includes thetime background version purpose and main idea of the book.The second chapter is the summary of folk-custom words in the view of folk-customlinguistics. They are divided into confucian classics, history annals, poems, nominalizationand common sayings. In it nominalization and common sayings are the origin of folk customs,confucian classics and history annals and poems are the origin of document. According tocontent, they are divided into shaped substance, human society, inner believes,season-year-old and verbal customs. Except for the classification, it also states thefolk-custom linguistics awareness of the author and summarizes vocabulary expanding andlessening and exchanging and the disappearing situations during the deliver of folk-customwords.Chapter three sums up three methods which are sound training, structure training andmeaning training to comment on the merits and demerits of the three methods. The later partof the chapter sums up the characteristic of Tong Su Zi Lin Bian Zheng. Chapter four compares Tong Su Wen by the Eastern Han Dynasty Fuqian and Su Yong ZaZi by Ming Dynasty Chen Shiyuan with Tong Su Zi Lin Bian Zheng.The summary part is the research result of the whole book and restates the importantmeaning of the essay in folk-custom words study for Tong Su Zi Lin Bian Zheng.It alsoarouses people to attach importance of this book and makes contribution in valuingfolk-custom words.
