Ren Guang(1900-1941) which is one of pioneers in the proletariat music movementin China,and a revolutionary musician. The anti-Japanese revolutionary songs whichhe composed prompoted the salvation movement that resist against japan for Chinesenational. He created the songs for patriotic overseas,explored the film music in ourcountry,and played a important role both in modern history of China and history ofChinese film. He devoted his life in the music revolutionary career. The exist of RenGuang’s composition is attached to the music activity,in which his social statusfeatured.For many reasons such as his dying young,employed in Pathe Company during1928-1937,not the communist party member,in the state of underground activities,researching for him was rare at that time. In my exploring literatures,most of themdraw a heavy attention on his so many works and life stories,they neglected theconnection between this and society background, so failing to comprehend hishistorical value in general.This thesis which through analysis the merits and demerits in the recent discussion ofRen Guang attempts to research in the view of sociology the effect that Ren Guang hasmade.
