Vocabulary teaching, the key link of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, is the fundamental to teaching Chinese as a foreign language, as well as the powerful drive to carry on in teaching Chinese, which always relates to numerical factors. Through the long-term practice in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, researchers in linguistics circle have been increasingly aware that, a much wider perspective combined the grammar, Chinese character, phonetic and culture should be provided in vocabulary teaching, and all the elements, interconnecting and intercrossing with each other, should be regarded as a whole, which could be an effective helper to vocabulary teaching. Therefor, the teachers should not rigidly adhere to simply vocabulary teaching. In Chinese vocabulary system, the Buddhism glossary plays an particularly and significant role, which is of great linguistic and civilization value. In this paper, we mainly focuses the on teaching of Buddhism glossary in Chinese words and Chinese characters grading syllabus. According to characteristic of each word in Buddhism glossary, we are attempting to explore several specific strategies in teaching Vocabulary teaching based on the research status of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, aiming to provide some references and examples in this exceptional area of teaching Buddhism glossary.
