Vocabulary teaching is an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,while the Buddhist vocabulary,as a special kind of vocabulary,is a component part of Chinese vocabulary which can not be neglected.In the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,especially in the face of high level Chinese learners who come from Buddhist countries or have Buddhist faith,how to effectively carry out the teaching of Buddhist vocabulary is more worthy consideration for foreign Chinese teachers.Therefore,this paper starts from the relationship between Buddhism culture and Chinese words,Chinese Buddhist source vocabulary classification,and further investigation in the teaching of foreign language vocabulary according to Buddha source,the actual teaching experience,to explore the teaching methods of Buddha source vocabulary.Finally,this paper analyzes the problems existing in the relevant elements of Chinese Buddhist vocabulary teaching,and puts forward some improvement methods and suggestions from three aspects of teacher's teaching style?teaching material compilation and students learning,in order to provide more ways for the Buddha source vocabulary teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
