Morpheme is polysemic. The polysemy of morpheme makes it difficult for international students to conjecture the meanings of words. Therefore, how to use "Morpheme Didactics" appropriately has become one of the most important issues in the "Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language" field. This research focused on the senses of the morpheme, and analyzed the basic attributes of the senses. We discussed the relationships of the categories, the part-of-speech, the position and the word formation ability of the senses. Based on the comprehensive textbooks and reading books which are used for the international students from beginner class in Anhui International Education College, we analyzed the distribution of the morphemes. As a result, it has differences on the frequency and the rank between the two kinds of books. We still found that the quantity and the proportion of the senses from the books tend to be single. At last, we made the international students from the Anhui International Education College answer the questionnaires, then analyzed the factors which can have effects on choosing the correct sense of a polysemic morpheme for international students.Based on the survey, we discovered that:(1) The use frequency of the senses in the textbooks has an effect on choosing the correct sense of a polysemic morpheme for the international students. They prefer to use the senses which have higher frequency. (2) The distribution of the senses in the textbook seldom can affect the students. They didn’t tend to use the senses which appear first in the textbooks. (3) The position of the senses when building words also has an influence. If the certain morpheme in the back position, the accuracy of choosing the correct senses will be higher. (4) With the improvement of the Chinese for the international students, their awareness of the polysemic morphemes will become better and better, at the meantime their ability to choosing the correct senses will be developed further.According to the discoveries above, we put forward some suggestions for the education of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and the writing of the textbooks. We should use the "Morpheme Didactics" properly on different morphemes. Especially for the polysemic morphemes, we should take corresponding teaching strategies based on the different character of the senses, such as the categories, the part-of-speech, the ability of word-building, the frequency of senses in the textbooks, and so on.
