Hoffmeister, Franz Anton is not only a publisher bookman, but also a famouscomposer, which live in classical music period. Mozart who is a comprehensiveexpression of classical music, only composed a concert with violin and viola, havenever wrote works for viola specially. Hoffmeister have caught this chance, hecomposed a series of etude contain12works, and two concert for viola. As everyoneknows, we can find intrinsic consistency in one composer’s works. This article analysisby synthesis in characteristic style, material used, performance technique of viola etudeand concert in D major,and reveal intrinsic relationship. These two works have greatsignificance in teaching and performance of viola. Then a concept named “AuthenticPerformance” have brought into discuss of performance sense. At the last, summarize aguide for exercise and performance, and this guide can be used by vast majority ofstudents who study viola.
