Wei Tang Dynasty Poetry

In the thesis, Weihe River Poetry of Tang Dynasty is regarded as my research object to explore the humanistic feelings of intellectuals in Tang Dynasty by compiling and carding as well as observing and stating the Weihe River Poetry, meanwhile to probe the society and culture of Tang Dynasty. From several aspects, this thesis is going to analyze Weihe in the Tang Dynasty and the significant importance of it for the intellectuals’mentality and the influence of the poetry creation. Five sections are included:First is Introduction, this section will introduce the origin of this topic and the research scope of it, as well as presenting the current research status of related fields and the research method the thesis adopted. In the second section, through studying the description of Weihe River that the intellectuals made during different dynasty from Pre-Qin Dynasty to Tang Dynasty, the thesis will reveal the different cultural connotations of Weihe River as well as the unique style and feature from the view of Tang Chinese. The third section will focus on Weihe River and Chang’an city, it will show the important status of Weihe River in Tang Dynasty through the Chang’an complex of intellectuals in Tang Dynasty embodied from the meaning of Weihe River to Chang’an city as well as Weihe River Poetry. Within the fourth section, the thesis will explore the effects of Weihe River on poem creation, from the prospective of the relationship between Weihe River Poetry and intellectuals’life, mainly focus on the farewell activities and leisure life of intellectuals. The fifth section of this thesis will mainly discuss the relationship between Weihe River Poetry and culture of Tang Dynasty by studying the allusion of Tai Gong Diao Wen Wang in Weihe River Poetry as well as the third day of March (Chinese Luna Calendar) and the argument of Weihe and Jinghe within the Tang poetry. Therefore the thesis has analyzed the Weihe River Poetry from several aspects, in order to reveal the significant status of Weihe River in Tang Dynasty and the relationship among it and intellectuals, as well as the culture.
