The concept “Relations-in-Production” is one of the most important catetories inMarx’ historical materialism. In order to interpret some issues, such as theconstruction of society and the developing of human history, Marx studied the mainconcepts——”production capability” and “Relations-in-Production”.The concept of“Relations-in-Production” originally appeared to the horizon of historical materialism inthe form of philosophy notion, and then affected by Ecnomics, it obtained some newcharacteristics. It was the clarification about its meaning in Marx’ demonstrating thatmade historical materialism systematical and theoritical.Many researchers studyingMarxism in the20thcentury hold different opinions about the concept“Relations-in-Production” from each other, which may influence their ideas abouthistorical materialism.This paper reviews the formation of the concept “Relations-in-Production”, andfound the concept generation process is to improve the relations of Marx’ historicalmaterialism,it is the integration process on Marx’s philosophy, economics, sociology,history, so the concept “Relations-in-Production” is very meaningful.
