Cooperative Mechanism In The BRIC Countries

BRICS is a new concept raised by the Goldman Sachs in2001. In recent years ithas evolved into a platform for exchanges among China, India, Russia and SouthAfrica. It has become a governance mechanism for promoting the restructuring ofinternational systems and building the new international political and economic order.To study the emergence and development of the BRICS cooperation mechanism is oftheoretical and pragmatic significance to observing the changes in the globalgovernance structure and expanding the development space and rights of globalgovernance.The essay studies the emergence and features of the BRICS cooperationmechanism, and studied with concrete statistics the cause and foundation of thismechanism. It made a judgment of the position and role of the mechanism in theinternational system and combined it with the direction and prospects of the reform ofinternational systems. In the last part, the essay proceeds from the realities anddevelopment demands of China to analyze the necessity, possibility, role and policychoices in promoting cooperation among BRICS countries.From the perspective of this essay, first, the cooperation basis of BRICS is rootedin the new division of labor among emerging economies. The BRICS countries havebeen included in the globalization process and increasingly closely interconnectedwith different resources endowment. Second, due to the unreasonable oldinternational political and economic order, the BRICS countries were faced withunfair development conditions and were affected by the escalation of conflicts causedby the division of labor. To change the unreasonable international system has becomethe necessary choice of BRICS countries to achieve sustainable development. Third,since these countries are in the preliminary stages of development, with vastlydifferent domestic conditions, geographical distances, the uncertainties ininternational environment and impact of developed countries, it is not easy for BRICScountries to conduct in-depth cooperation. To promote development in cooperationand enhance cooperation through development has become the realistic strategicchoice. Third, as the bridge that connects other BRICS countries with the globalsystem of division of labor, China will continue to play the pivotal role in the future industrial development and upgrading. Therefore, China should become the pivot,promote the software and hardware connectivity constriction, strengthen theorganization and institution of BRICS cooperation mechanism, firm up thecooperation basis, expand the cooperation scope and raise the efficiency ofcooperation.
