Demand For Different Types Of Non-profit Organizations In Beijing Capacity Building

After the reform and opening up, the Non-profit Organizations (NPOs) in China have been developed very quickly and kept changing in no matter quantity, organizational form, service and service mode. At the same time, due to the restriction of political system, NPOs are facing terrible outside pressure, such as non-found law system, backward management mechanism, lack social resources, low public trust, and so on.For Chinese NPO’s developmental problems, both Chinese and Western theoretical research has raised that the development and building of NPO mainly depend on its own quality, and capability building is a key factor.At present, the framework of Chinese NPO’s basic capability building requirement had been formed, however, there have been some problems in the process of implementation. For example, there is a mismatch between supply and demand, the teaching material is still not perfect, the system is not so comprehensive, the capability building is not taken seriously, and the capability cannot solve practical problems and so on.To be honest, the subject of capability building should be NPO itself, and it is a critical issue for different types of NPOs to understand the right requirements. Only by classifying the organizations, getting clear organizational goals, specifying the requirements, can capability building play a role. Above all, this paper is to carry on research study on different functional types of NPOs, hoping to find the commonness and individuality among them, and to provide a clearer route for NPO’s capability building.The body includes five chapters.First chapter is the exordium part, mainly presenting the problem introduction, research significance, object of study and research method.Second Chapter is the academic literature studies part. On one hand, this section identifies the definition, classification and function of NPO, and comb literatures from NPO’s origin and current situation, external environment, capability building requirement and ways of developing. On the other hand, we can subdivide NPO into3types:service entity type, social group type, foundation type.Chapter3,4,5are the core parts of the paper, describing the definition, specific classification and functions of service entity type NPO, social group type NPO, and foundation type NPO. These chapters present specific capability building requirements of different types of NPO by research data, and analyses them accordingly.In the last chapter, combining with the above requirements, different dimension and developing ways of NPO’s capability building are taken on.
