China is undergoing comprehensive and constructional social transformation atpresent. During this period a serious social crisis emerges，the scarcity of trust resourcegreatly restricts the modernization of law in our country. The trust in law as aimportant way to solve the social trust crisis in China is also the internal guaranteewhich helps to build up legal authority and ensure the effective enforcement of law.The study of the trust in law has not become the research hotspot in Chinese lawcircle.Compared with the ideal of trust in law，the ideal of belief in law is more likelyto be accepted by academics.However，the practice of law construction in China fordecades has showed that the present circumstance is that the law has not beenbelieved，moreover，even the construction of law trust has become a big problem. Thetransformation from the trust in law to the belief in law dose not mean to lower thestandard or aim of our legal construction，but to make it more practical.This paper is divided into four chapters to analysis the subject of the trust in law.In the first part it mainly explains the common ground and difference between the idealof trust in law and the ideal of belief in law. The second part mainly identifies theconcept of the trust in law，including the study of the subject and object of the trust inlaw. The third part mainly studies the features and value function of the trust in law，and has a deep analysis of the current situation of trust in law in China，and the reasonsbehind it. The fourth part gives a comprehensive discussion about how to foster thetrust in law in China from three levels，namely，expanding public participation inlegislation，strengthening social supervision and increasing law abiding consciousnessof citizens. Compared with the research of other professors and scholars，the authorsuggests that the innovation of his work is embodied on the further analysis of thesubject and object matter of the trust in law，and the efforts of discovering the concretemeasures in resolving the trust in law crisis in China that our legal construction now isfaced up with from both theoretical level and practical level.
