Public Resource Management Theory Elinor Ostrom And Its Application

Elinor Ostrom is the Nobel prize winner in2009, she made huge contribution toeconomic management behaviors, especially, her contributions to ordinary citizens’economic activities are obvious. She is the first Nobel Prize winner in economics field,her systematic theory about autonomy made she an established economist in the field.Her research emphasizes how the ecosystem is interconnected to human activities.Her research provided a approach to the goal of sustainable use of resources. Herresearch provides a guideline to the present economic development mode. Hercreative IDA analytic framework is very successful in western countries.China is in the process of economic and political reform, her theory is veryhelpful at the time. We can use her theory to solving our problem in tradition publicgovernance filed such as: irrigation system. In my paper, I fist introduce her theory,then I will make my remarks, at last, I will discuss her theory application in ChineseYunnan province.
