This paper discusses that because of the powerful guarantee provided and activitieswomen taking an active part in, the role of women in revolutionary base area has changeddramatically in the field of marriage, family, culture, education, economic activities, politicalpractice.The Communist Party of China continuously adjust policy for all kinds of conflictsbetween the new concept and the old order.On the one hand, the traditional role of women has changed because of the womenpolicies of the Communist Party of China and the new concept. The women have a new wayof life, new values idea and social identities; On the other hand, the changes has cause somecontradictions and conflicts because of the special environment in wartime and the feudalcustom, so the Communist Party of China formulate the policy to solve the problems. Thetraditional ideology makes the women in revolutionary base area still can’t get rid oftraditional roles. It is a long and arduous process for changing of women’s traditional role.
