Status And Research Needs Of The Urban Poor Helping The Elderly Live

Poverty is the problem that always existing in human society and trying to solve. With the intensification of China’s aging population, the elderly poor as "weak in the weak" group in the elderly population, with a list of vulnerabilities such as lower economic levels, poor health conditions, and it is difficult to get rid of poverty through their own efforts. Solve the problem of poverty, and even the elderly poverty problem, is not only the requirements of sharing the results of the economic development and achieving common prosperity, but also the demands of maintaining social stability and achieving a harmonious society. For these reasons, it is particularly necessary to research the living status and the needs of the elderly poor, targeting the recommendations to meet the needs of the elderly poor and improving their living conditions.Under the guidance of achieving healthy aging and building a socialist harmonious society, in this paper, the elderly poor of a district of Beijing for the survey, through literature review, questionnaires and data analysis methods, study on the living status and the helping needs of the elderly poor, based on the living status, focusing on the helping needs, in order to carry out available reference in improving the living status of the elderly poor.This paper consists of five parts. The first part introduces the background and the significance, the object and scope, review relevant research and research methods and frameworks of the study; The second part describes the development context and the implementation status of economic aid and medical aid policy of elderly poor in Beijing. Simultaneously, describes the living status of the elderly poor focus on economic and health aspects; The third part is under the guidance of the theory of demand, from the demand content, method and supply tripartite approach to analyze the needs of the elderly poor and discusses the factors affecting the elderly poor demand content; The fourth part provides ideas and suggestions to improve the lives of the elderly poor; The fifth part is the conclusion and outlook. This paper analyzes the current situation and helping needs of the elderly poor, hoping to gain insight into the needs of the elderly poor, making practical recommendations and measures to improve the work of helping the poor effectively.
